How to Share a Podcast Research Collection

Once you have assembled a collection of transcribed podcast episodes, you can share it as a read-only link. Recipients can search the transcripts themselves — no Lucent account needed.

1. Open a collection and click Share

Inside any collection you own, click the Share button in the top toolbar. Lucent generates a unique read-only link instantly. Copy it to your clipboard. The link is active immediately — no confirmation step needed.

2. Recipients open the link — no account required

Anyone with the link can view the collection, browse the episode list, and read any available transcript. They can also search the full transcript text across all episodes in the collection, just like you can. The collection owner's name and a welcome note appear automatically.

3. Track who opened it and what they searched

Back in your dashboard, open the collection and click the visitors tab. You'll see a list of everyone who opened the share link (by timestamp and approximate location), plus a log of every topic they searched. This is useful for understanding which parts of your research resonated with your audience.

Access control

  • Read-only. Visitors cannot edit the collection, add episodes, or delete transcripts.
  • Revocable. Click Revoke in the toolbar to invalidate the current link. A new link is generated automatically if you share again.
  • No expiry. Share links do not expire on their own. Revoke manually when the research project is closed.
  • One link per collection. Each collection has a single active share link at a time. Revoking and re-sharing invalidates the old link.

When to use share links

Editorial fact-checking

Share a collection of source episodes with your editor. They can verify quotes directly in the transcript without downloading anything.

Teaching and seminars

Give students a searchable transcript collection for a set of lectures or podcast episodes used as course material.

Collaborative research

Share with a co-author or research partner. Both of you can search and identify relevant timestamps independently.

Client deliverables

Package a podcast research brief as a shareable Lucent collection — the client can search it themselves rather than reading a static report.
