Common questions

Everything you need before you start. See all FAQs →

Which podcasts does Lucent support?
Any podcast with a public RSS feed — independent shows, major networks, and everything in between. No URL needed; search by name and Lucent fetches the episode list.
How accurate are the transcripts?
Lucent uses Whisper, which achieves roughly 4–7% word error rate on clear speech. Timestamps are accurate to within a second. Accuracy is lower for heavy accents or episodes with significant background noise.
How long does transcription take?
A one-hour episode typically finishes in 6–12 minutes. Already-transcribed episodes are never re-processed — adding them to a second collection is instant.
Can I share my research with others?
Yes. Each collection has a Share button that generates a read-only link. Recipients can search and browse the transcripts without an account.
Can I search across multiple episodes at once?
That is the core feature. Type a topic, get every mention with its timestamp across all episodes in the collection, plus a cross-episode recap synthesising what was said.
